Unfortunately, in order to get the TTL communication to work, you need to update the firmware on the flash and that can only be done via a Windows PC. When using the Godox Xpro-N TTL with the Godox TT685s flash, I knew fully well that it was designed for TTL usage with Sony cameras. But once you get the details down, you’ll be all set. Initially, that will mean that you need to carefully read the screen. Instead, it’s variable based on the menu system. The menus never get to the point where they’re overwhelming and despite the design appearance, it isn’t like playing a game of Battleship with a wireless radio trigger. Using these in combination with one another may seem a bit weird but in actuality they’re very easy. With the Godox Xpro-N TTL, the buttons on the bottom act as variable parameters depending on what menu you’re in.

But it has gotten splashed by a spritz water from the East river and survived to continue working. Would I take it out into a rain storm? No. It’s pretty solid just about as solid any almost anything else that I’ve felt out there while also being significantly more affordable. Like most other triggers out there, the Godox Xpro-N TTL has a tightener that keeps it locked in place on the hot shoe. On the side of the Godox Xpro-N TTL there are two switches for groups and on/off. These are how you change the settings on the Godox Xpro-N TTL. then there are other buttons on the bottom and a control wheel. There are buttons on the side and on the bottom. When you look at it from the front, what you’ll see is this giant LCD screen. And it’s a pretty big one vs many competitors. The Godox Xpro-N TTL is a trigger designed for Nikon DSLRs. Tech specs for the Godox Xpro-N TTL can be found with ease on the manufacturer’s website Ergonomics The Godox Xpro-N TTL was tested with the Nikon D850, Nikon 28mm f1.4, the Godox TT685s flash and that’s it.

And at the moment of publishing this review, if you’re on a Mac computer, then you’re out of luck. Firmware to give it cross brand TTL can only really be done if the flash’s firmware can be updated. Not at all overwhelming if you’re used to using commanders.

XPRO V2 REVIEW HOW TO

  • Firmware update is fairly straight forward when you look at video online on how to do it.
  • Unfortunately, there’s also one really big problem that isn’t specific to it, but more to the system. Crazy, right? It may seem that way, but it works out very well! Again, you’re using a Nikon camera and transmitter with a Sony specific flash and getting TTL. this trigger is designed for use with Nikon DSLRs and lets you use a flash like the Godox TT685s designed for Sony and get TTL with it. With the new Godox Xpro-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger, they’re upping their game even more. The small China based company has been producing flashes and triggers that have been putting the Japanese to shame at a much more affordable price point.

It’s no secret at this point that Godox makes some fantastic products, so when the Godox Xpro-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger came in for review I was really optimistic. I have recently downloaded Divi, although I have not used it yet, and will be looking into Beaver Builder. The Godox Xpro-N TTL Wireless Flash Trigger is a fantastic option with one big, glaring problem. I let me loyalty to X force myself to learn and like X Pro, although as you say, it is non-GPL, it did take a few hours to learn my way around, and it is not a product that I have ever let any customer use. I continued to watch your review, and within minutes, I really thought what you were saying was exactly what I felt.

    XPRO V2 REVIEW PRO

I stumbled upon your video about the X Pro review, and I will be honest, the first few minutes I was becoming a little defensive inside 🙂, almost as if it were my own product. I grew to practically love X Theme, and later Pro, and have been using it exclusively on all my own sites and client web sites. I have been a website developer for some time, and over the past 8-10 years, I have almost stopped developing my own material and resorted to using WordPress with themes.
